My Approach
Old patterns and past hurts shape how we see ourselves and what feels possible. In therapy, we create space to understand these patterns more deeply, mourn what was, and discover new ways of being. This work requires courage - and it unfolds through a real relationship.
I'm genuinely interested in your experience - what things mean to you, how you make sense of yourself and the world. My style is warm and direct; I'll follow your lead and also challenge you when it seems useful.
I work from a psychoanalytic perspective, which means we pay attention to how early experiences and relationships have shaped you. I also bring an existential lens - questions of meaning, agency, and what kind of life you want to be living. I pay close attention to the body too, and how emotions show up physically.
Who I Work With
I work with adults - individuals and couples - across the lifespan. I often work with people who say their usual way of living isn't working anymore, have recently experienced a loss or disappointment, or want more from their life.
Some people I work with have never been to therapy before. Others have - but felt it stayed too surface level, or are ready for something more than short-term relief.
